Athletic Hall

The historic Athletic Hall was built in 1931. At one time, it was the Fire Hall, so quite a few locals refer to it as "The Old Fire Hall". It was also used for gymnastics, and is still used for community events.

Spectacularly decorated with Gillnets, it truly pays homage to the Finnish and fishing roots of our small island. This space has capacity for 197 people, is wheelchair accessible, has a kitchen with pass through, and a washroom on site. There is also a loft, perfect for the Sointula Choir to serenade from.
